America, how are we doing?

We check the weather every day.

We check the temperature, watch for storms, and look ahead to see what tomorrow might bring.

But what if we checked in on something else, too?

How are we doing?

The Happiness Forecast is a community-powered project tracking how people across America report their happiness, stress, connection, and hope.

It starts with a simple check-in.

Take a few seconds to tell us how you’re doing. Your anonymous response becomes part of The Happiness Forecast and helps us build a picture of how participating people across the country are feeling.

Coming soon.

As responses come in, this space will show our latest Happiness Forecast—including reported happiness, stress, connection, and hope from participating communities across the country.

😊 HAPPINESS

☀️ HOPE

❤️ CONNECTION

⛈️ STRESS

We’ll also look at how those numbers change over time and what participants say is influencing how they feel.

Happiness isn’t simply about having a good day.

Our lives are affected by relationships, family, work, finances, health, community, loneliness, connection, uncertainty—and sometimes things that are difficult to put into words.

That’s why The Happiness Forecast doesn’t just ask, “Are you happy?”

We’re also asking about stress, connection, hope, and the things influencing your emotional weather.

Because behind every number is a person.

And together, those individual experiences can tell an interesting story about how we’re doing.

It takes less than a minute.

How are you doing today?

The Happiness Forecast is an informal, opt-in community project. Results represent participating respondents and should not be interpreted as a scientifically representative measure of the U.S. population.
